Check-out day! Time to say cheerio and wrestle your suitcase shut.

Us newly weds are heading off to Florence to soak up the memories and wander around the galleries and churches in all their extravagant, decadent glory (Jack is thrilled by this prospect). If you’re sticking around, feel free to come to the city too! We’d love to cross paths for a coffee or vino.

For those who want to join, our plan is to head to Siena to wander the cobbled streets, mooch around the piazzas and admire the Duomo. If you're feeling a light touch of exploration, then we'd love your company! If you've had enough of excursions (and people, haha!), that is also totally fine. Dip in and dip out as you please.

This is our last full day together, so we’ll likely gather for a casual dinner or final group drinks (nothing formal, just whatever feels right).

Ease in gently with a lazy breakfast, maybe a swim if you're feeling brave. Recovery and chilling out is today’s agenda. Then in the early evening, we’re heading to Poggio Molina vineyard estate for hair of the dawg!

Located in the hills of the Val d’Ambra, Poggio Molina is a farm and Tuscan wine company, including 16 hectares of vineyards. At the centre of the farm is the main house, dating back to about 1700, with adjoining cellars. The winery is entirely managed by the Bossini-Gori family, who are taking us on a tour of their site!

We’ve organised transport for us all, directly from the villa at 18:30. Once we arrive, expect:

• a visit to the cellar with an explanation of production methods and the ageing process

• wine tasting of six of Poggio Molina’s wines, paired with courses of fresh and seasonal products directly from the garden and meats from the farm

• a star lit table set up, arranged between the rows of the vineyards

We can sit back and relax in the countryside as the sun sets, and pretend to know the difference between tannins and terroir!

Start the day as you so wish, as the main event won’t start until later in the afternoon. We’ll be getting married at the villa at 16:30, when the light is golden and the sun isn’t trying to melt everyone.

First, we’ll gather for a short ceremony on the terrace at 16:30 (so make sure you’re ready by 16:00-16:15), then ease into the evening with celebratory bubbles and an aperitivo from 17:00. Dinner will be long and leisurely from 19:00, think pasta-filled twirling forks. Expect a few words and a few toasts, followed by a wee boogie to round off the night. Nothing too stuffy, just a warm, relaxed celebration with our families.

If you’re arriving today and staying nearby... benvenuti! For those with us at the villa, it’ll be a slow morning (think coffee, swims, maybe a book if you’re feeling ambitious). In the afternoon, we’ll take things as they come... perhaps a wander around a nearby town. Lucignano and Arezzo are meant to be lovely local spots, and we'll almost certainly be able to grab some gelato.

In the evening, we’re firing up the pizza oven to welcome everyone who’s arrived (well, someone is – we’ve hired an authentic pizza van and a caterer so we don’t have to). Come hungry and ready for carbs as we'll be kick-starting festivities al fresco with a pizza party at the villa from 18:00!

This is the arrival day for those staying at the villa (Palazzo Vanneschi). We'll be checking in (from 16:00), unpacking and arguing over rooms! We’ll hang out by the pool, play some very unserious games, pour ourselves some spritzes and enjoy a relaxed evening as people settle in. No formal plans, just a soft launch into holiday mode.
