How to get to Tuscany, where to land and how to make your way to us with minimal stress.
Getting there
Nearest airports
There are 3 options:
Florence Airport (FLR) – 80km from the villa, approximately 1 hour 15 mins by car
Pisa Airport (PSA) – 142km from the villa, approximately 1 hour 45 mins by car
Rome Fiumicino (FCO) – 250km from the villa, approximately 2 hours 30 mins by car
Florence is probably the closest and most convenient if you’re flying in for the wedding only. Pisa and Rome may have more flight options and are great if you're making a longer trip of it.
Nearest train stations
Bucine Station – small, local station (10 mins away)
Montevarchi-Terranuova – larger regional station with more connections (20 mins away)
Florence Santa Maria Novella (SMN) – Florence’s central station, connects easily to major cities
If you're arriving by train, we recommend getting to Florence, then heading south by regional train or renting a car.
Getting around
Car hire is the most flexible way to explore the area. The region is quite rural, and having a car makes it much easier to bob around. We recommend hiring a car from your arrival airport or from Florence.
Local taxis are limited in rural Tuscany, so if you’re not driving, we’ll help coordinate group transfers where possible.
