Italy has long been a meaningful place for the Walkers. It’s where they went for family holidays when Jack and Harry were young, frolicking around in the Lakes! John and Romy also first met in Milan. In more recent years, since Chrissie and Katie joined the clan, we enjoyed a family trip to Sicily (bouncing around Catania, Taormina, Syracuse, Cefalù and Palermo). And for the cherry on top, when we were newly engaged, we celebrated by gallivanting on a trip around Rome.

Meanwhile, the Chivers fam have always swooned over having a family holiday in Italy. Paul and Terri went to Italy for the first time last year on a trip to Venice, which had been on their wishlist for 30+ years!

So, this celebration is a kind of ‘ode’ to both our families. A romanticised vision of bringing us all together in a place that has happy memories and where we can make new ones.

There’s no pressure to join for all activities/excursions. You can dip in and out as you please (except for the wedding day itself, we’d hope!). We fully appreciate that everyone has their own social batteries. We just kindly request that you let us know in the RSVP form which of the catered events you will be attending so that we can be clear on numbers to the vendors.

Yes, and some delicious local ones! We'll be sending out a set menu closer to the time, but let us know any dietary needs when you RSVP. One of the main selling points of an Italian wedding is undoubtedly the cuisine... so expect lots of pizza, pasta and antipasto boards.

Early June in Tuscany is warm (25–30°C), with cooler evenings. We're hoping that we're far enough from the UK that we'll be dodging any rain (fingers crossed!), so come plied with suncream and summer clothing.

Get ya gladrags at the ready folks! Think elegant but relaxed. We’ll be outdoors for the ceremony and dinner, so:

• summer suits, linen and floaty dresses

• it may get cooler in the evening, so bring a cover-up or jacket

• the vibe is joyful and comfortable... dress like yourself at your best*

*Duck ties may be a risqué choice for wedding day apparel. Mocking will be at your own peril (you know who you are!).

Something a little more elevated than your daytime holiday wear. We're not aiming for anything formal, but something nice/smart-casual would make it feel more of an occasion.

We appreciate that a destination wedding can come at an expense, so there's a lot to consider. We would love it if you're able to make it, but we also understand completely if you decide you can't. Ideally, we'd like a clear idea of who's able to join this side of Christmas, so please get back to us by Sunday 30th November 2025.

We're a pretty small wedding party (just family, as we're celebrating with friends separately)... so no one will be safe from chasing should you not RSVP in time! If we know one thing about Jack Walker, it is that he is persistent!

Nope! Your presence means the world to us, and we truly don’t expect gifts. Also, Katie's unrelenting shopping in nicky-nacky-noo and homeware shops means that we are well equipped for all things home related. Our 2-bed flat is currently busting at the seams with all the bells and whistles required for a 5-bed house.

If you’d still like to contribute, we’re saving for our honeymoon, so a few pennies towards that could help get us there.
